Things that have made me happy, I’ve been thinking about, or loving lately, in no particular order:
Hemp seeds inspired this post. I just tried these for the first time and they are my new jam! They contain all of the essential amino acids and they’re also a wonderful source of omega 3 and omega 6. If you haven’t had them before they remind me of a softer, teeny, hulled sunflower seed. I add a tablespoon to my smoothies but I would also try them in granola, vegan yogurt, nice cream (banana ice cream), or anything else you’d sprinkle seeds onto. Try it if you haven’t, I hope this new favorite becomes a favorite of yours too!
Yay bubbles! We played with bubbles growing up and after seeing some recently I wanted to get a bottle for fun this spring/summer. Luckily right after we saw them we were heading to a store that also sells them. Shortly after getting home the fun ensued. Now and then when I go outside I’ll take the bottle with me and blow bubbles for fun. They would also make great party favor.
Wooden Clothes Pins
We bought a big pack of wooden clothespins recently and have been using them as chip clips. They make me happy when I see them so I thought I’d share the idea with you guys!
I just joined Instagram recently and I’ve finally started to use it and I love it! I figured I would because I love pictures and taking pictures but I guess it just took me some time to get around to it. I’d love to connect with you guys on Instagram, I’m @hidottielouise (just like Twitter), follow me if you’d like to see more of what I’m up to and/or when blog posts come out!
Wow oh wow guys! My mom, my sister, and I went to GoodWill and boy oh boy did we luck out! My mom found a bag of different sized knitting needles without a price tag. I figured they’d be around $5 for the bag but it was only $1.19!! One dollar and nineteen cents! My goodness! The sizes range from about 12 to 0 and they’re mostly metal ones. I learned to knit a few years ago via YouTube videos and so far have made about 4 scarves, more if you count all the times I un-stitched Adam’s scarf to try a different stitch out (I had limited yarn lol what’s a girl to do?). I can’t wait for winter to come around now so I can really put my knitting knowledge to the test! You can expect to see these pop up in some way in future Happy Thoughts this winter!
What things, random or not, have been your happy thoughts lately? I’d love to hear! Have a great week you guys, see you on Friday!
