Seeing as the New year is still new and many people have the goal of getting healthy or healthier this year, I thought I’d share the number one healthy thing I do every day: drinking this smoothie! So grab some fruit and a blender and let's get started!
I drink a smoothie every day for breakfast. It gives me energy, gets me hydrated and makes me feel good. Any day I don’t have a smoothie for breakfast (it’s rare) I feel more tired, more thirsty and just sort of dull. Which is all the more reason to keep drinking them! Aside from breakfast, sometimes I’ll have another, usually different, smoothie between lunch and dinner as a hydrating ‘snack’. Other days, if I’ve not had one as a snack, Adam and I will make smoothie bowls with rawnola on top for dinner which is filling but light and totally amazing!
If you’re looking to add a little goodness into your day I highly recommend adding a smoothie! You can make so many different kinds, they’re perfect any time of day, and they’re an easy way to get important nutrients you might otherwise be missing out on. My Favorite Smoothie Blend
- About 1 Cup Frozen Pineapple
- 4-6 Frozen Strawberries
- ¼ Cup Frozen Blueberries
- 1-2 Pieces of Frozen Broccoli
- 1 Tbsp Hemp Seeds
- 2 Tsp Barley Grass Juice Powder
- 2 Ripe Bananas
I’m using a Nutribullet but you can use any blending appliance. Place all of the ingredients into a blending appliance and blend until you reach the desired consistency.
